German Chancellor Helmut Kohl is expected to put considerable pressure on Japanese Prime Minister Kiichi Miyazawa to boost Tokyo’s meager aid to the successor states of the former Soviet Union during the Japanese official’s five-day visit this week to Paris and Bonn.
