Outrage Over King Verdict

The dismaying decision by an all-white jury to find four police officers not guilty of beating King suggests that it just isn’t possible for blacks to receive justice in the courts. And it confirms what many of us, black and white, have known since we first saw that videotape: Racism is alive and well and living in America, with Los Angeles as its capital.
