Crawford to Manage GTE West

GTE Telephone Operations, Thousand Oaks, named Mike Crawford vice president and general manager of the company’s seven-state West area. The region is made up of GTE’s local telephone operations in the western United States, including California.

Previously, Crawford was vice president and general manager of GTE California.

Crawford replaces Charlie Liekweg, who resigned in March.
