NOT EVEN TEMPTED: The Los Angeles rioting has caused havoc in scheduling events--even in Orange County (C1, F2). The Los Angeles Philharmonic has canceled tonight’s concert at the Orange County Performing Arts Center--a huge disappointment to local sponsors, who had sold more than 2,700 tickets. . . . It was supposed to be a makeup concert for ticket-holders to the Birmingham, England, orchestra event, canceled last month. To tempt the L.A. musicians, Marriott Suites in Costa Mesa had offered 90 free rooms for the night. But the answer was still no. The orchestra says it’s complying with the wishes of L.A. civic leaders.
