OZONE DEPLETION
Tens of millions of Americans live in climates where the use of air conditioners is necessary for survival. By contrast, think of 60 years ago: Elderly people could sleep in their homes with the windows open and be safe; not any longer. A leading cause of death in this country was rotten food; refrigeration solved that problem.
The theory that chlorine monoxide leads to ozone depletion is just that, a theory. The examples above are real, and real people who cannot afford to adapt will die.
