Nation IN BRIEF : PENNSYLVANIA : 76 Charged With Running Drug Ring

Federal prosecutors indicted 76 people on charges of operating an international ring that brought $750 million worth of cocaine to Philadelphia. The indictment, which involves 166 counts, also alleges that participants in the Cali drug cartel laundered $4 million in Philadelphia from January, 1988, to December, 1990. Federal officials arrested 23 of the defendants in Philadelphia, while others were arrested in Los Angeles, Miami and Puerto Rico.
