Front-Page News
When the Southland is still reeling from the effects of the riots over the Rodney King issue, why did The Times bury the article about the Santa Ana Gangs Peace Rally (“Gangs All Here,” May 4) on the sixth page of the Orange County Section?
We all need some positive images right now. Why didn’t you splash the good news right on the front page? “An unprecedented rally for peace” surely deserves a more prominent spot than B6.
Come on. Let’s be enthusiastic about efforts to bring peace to our communities. This was a big step for the F-Troop, Delhi and Santa Nita members. Let’s applaud their efforts.
I vote for front-page coverage of this kind of good news, especially in these troubled times.
