PARENTAL GUILT

There is one glaring omission in Newton’s article: the name of the liquor store “down the hill” where three obviously intoxicated teen-agers purchased “more beer.” Alcohol was sold to minors; isn’t that worthy of investigation by the authorities? Are the parents in South Pasadena, so concerned now about where their teen-agers are going and what they’re doing, just as concerned about the ease with which their children can purchase alcohol?
