Share

Mariachi Continental will replace the Juvenil Sol de Mexico band at the Fiesta Marketplace Mariachi Festival 1992, rescheduled to May 23 and 24 because of the Los Angeles riots. The other seven main mariachi bands will remain the same for the event, originally planned as a Cinco de Mayo celebration. The event will run 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. each day at Fiesta Marketplace in downtown Santa Ana.

Mariachi Continental will play Saturday at 7 p.m. The remainder of the acts will play at times originally scheduled, except for Mariachi Perla de Jalisco, which will play at 5:45 p.m. on Saturday, and Mariachi Uclatlan, which will play at 7:15 p.m. on Sunday.

The festival, also featuring Mexican folk dance, mime artists and game booths, will take place on 3rd and 4th streets, between Bush and French streets.
