Coke Seeking New Slogan: Just months after Pepsi-Cola introduced a new ad slogan for its flagship brand, Coca-Cola is reportedly considering a new slogan for its top seller, Coca-Cola Classic. Executives at Coke and its ad agency, McCann-Erickson, declined to comment on the future of the current slogan, “Can’t beat the real thing.” But the soft-drink giant has made a number of key marketing moves in recent months--even bringing on the Hollywood talent firm Creative Artists Agency to help Coke mold an improved image. It is not known what role--if any--Creative Artists might play in the campaign, expected to start in the fall.
