From Times Staff and Wire Reports

Israeli aircraft blasted a guerrilla target in Lebanon’s largest Palestinian refugee camp in two separate strikes. Two Cobra helicopter gunships and, later, two jet fighters attacked a house used by the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine-General Command in the camp near the southern port of Sidon. Six people, including two rebels, were reported hurt. The Israeli military said the raid was in retaliation for a May 27 ambush of Israelis.
