Laser Medical Awarded Another Patent

SAN CLEMENTE — Laser Medical Technology said Monday that it has been awarded a patent on a method for treating hardening of the arteries by removing plaque with a laser beam.
The patent, issued May 26, is the latest of 28 patents awarded the medical equipment manufacturer, which is expanding its focus on dental devices to such disciplines as orthopedics and angioplasty, the treatment of arteries.
