U.S., Canada Settle Plywood Dispute: U.S. and Canadian trade officials said they have resolved a long-running dispute that has blocked the sale of U.S. plywood in Canada. But U.S. Trade Representative Carla Anderson Hills and Canadian Trade Minister Michael Wilson reported no breakthroughs on several other disputes that have strained relations between the two countries. The two officials said both sides had agreed to the implementation of new testing standards governing plywood by this fall. The new standards were required to allow American plywood to be marketed in Canada.
