Denmark Plans to Pull U.N. Unit From Cyprus

COPENHAGEN — Denmark plans to withdraw its U.N. troops from Cyprus after 28 years on the divided island, Foreign Minister Uffe Ellemann-Jensen said.
He told Danish television Tuesday night that he will open talks with the United Nations with a view to pulling out the Danish contingent in early 1993.
The government has long wanted to withdraw the 350-strong Danish contingent.
