Collier and Horowitz are like all other born-again ideologists. When they find out their doctrinaire escapism has failed, they simply move to the opposite side of the bed.
If they choose to look within themselves, rather than spewing out blame and hatred right and left, they will find the healthy, humane middle.
It is much more difficult as a mature adult to face the real problems of the world and offer positive complex solutions, than to throw a temper tantrum because life isn’t exactly what you want.
