MAS ABOUT MAS

Share

Cuba fell to Castro because of the socioeconomic inequality between the haves and have-nots. The vast majority of Cuba’s wealth was owned first of all by the government and then by the rich landowners (my family included) who grew richer by growing sugar, rice and cattle. The overwhelming majority of Cubans were poor. During my years in exile in the United States, I have developed the power to think independently and objectively. I don’t want to see Cuba raped again and her citizens’ decency violated by the greedy. What’s needed is common social sense, not more political and racist rhetoric.
