Kudos for Molly: Molly Ringwald, who starred in the March ABC-TV film “Something to Live For: The Alison Gertz Story,” was honored in Washington Tuesday by Health and Human Services Secretary Louis W. Sullivan for her efforts to increase AIDS awareness. A similar award went to Gertz, upon whose experiences the movie was based. Gertz, a heterosexual woman who contracted AIDS in a single romantic encounter, was unable to attend the ceremony for health reasons. ABC Entertainment and producers Jack Grossbart and Joan Barnett were also honored with public service awards.
