The following are selected entries from the crime logs of local law enforcement agencies between June 8 and June 14.

Glendale

First Avenue, 3600 block--A woman reported that her home had been ransacked between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. June 8. She said three vengeful notes were left in the house by an ex-boyfriend. Numerous heavy pieces of furniture, compact discs, an answering machine, jewelry and tools of unknown value were taken.

Cascadia Drive, 2300 block--An unoccupied house was splattered with eggs and spray-painted with graffiti inside, and a refrigerator, dishwasher, stove, TV and oven of unknown value were stolen between June 8 and 9.

South Chevy Chase Drive, 700 block--Two bicycles and $2,500 cash were stolen from an unlocked home between June 9 and 13.

North Brand Boulevard, 300 block--A man passed a demand note to a teller at a Bank of America branch at 12:30 p.m. June 11. The robber walked away with $686 and has not been apprehended.

North Central Avenue, 1100 block--A woman was injured at 7:15 a.m. June 11 during a demonstration by 50 union workers protesting non-union laborers at a construction site when a truck entered the site and struck several of the demonstrators. The driver was arrested and charged with felony assault.

Glendale Galleria--Four pearl and diamond bracelets valued together at $11,100 were reported stolen from a jewelry case at Murata Pearls and Gems between 10 a.m. and 7:30 p.m. June 11.

Grangemount Road, 3100 block--A man was arrested after he violated a restraining order by entering a home where a religious meeting was in session, brandishing a knife and cutting a man who tried to stop him at 8:50 p.m. June 12.

Broadway and Louise Street--A woman reported that her purse containing $3 was snatched from her hand as she was walking down a sidewalk at 9:45 p.m. June 12.

East Broadway, 1300 block--A TV, VCR and cable box valued at more than $750 were stolen from an apartment between 6:30 a.m. and 5 p.m. June 12.

South Cedar Street, 100 block--A man was arrested after threatening a letter carrier with a knife at 1:15 p.m. June 13.

South Glendale Avenue, 400 block--Burglars broke the front glass door of Glendale House of Liquor & Deli at 4:54 a.m. June 13 and stole an unknown amount of coins from two cash registers and possibly some cartons of cigarettes.

East Broadway, 400 block--A man was arrested for felony assault at 10 p.m. June 14 when he allegedly struck a female officer in the face with a tote bag containing pieces of broken glass and clothing while he was being detained for defecating on a public street.

Chevy Chase Drive and San Fernando Road--A woman was hospitalized for injuries at midnight June 15 after she walked up to a taco truck and was assaulted by two women who attempted to rob her of her wallet after she refused to give them money.

The Region

Vandals caused thousands of dollars in damage to windows in Glendale, La Canada and La Crescenta last week, and police have not yet apprehended any suspects.

Across Glendale--Fifeen businesses reported windows broken between June 8 and 14. They were: New York Pizza Co., Glendale Camera Center, Glendale Adventist Medical Center, Everect Inc./EZ Freeze, Jack’s Cleaners, No Appointment Necessary Hair Salon, Discount Optical, H & R Block, Discount Carpet Center, L’il John’s Auto Parts, J’s Maintenance, Fame Floor Covering Inc., Clean Sweep Supply Co., L.A. Answer Inc. and Greyhound Lines Inc. Losses of $8,750 were reported, although the majority had not yet placed dollar figures on the breakages. Four homes and four cars were also damaged.

La Canada Flintridge

Houseman Street, 600 block--A bicycle valued at $950 was stolen from an unlocked garage on June 12 or 13.

Rosebank Drive, 4400 block--The window of a home, valued at $150, was damaged by a BB gun at 5 p.m. June 13.

Godby Drive, 5300 block--Burglars entered a home through a second-story window and stole jewelry valued at $5,350 between 11 a.m. and 1:15 p.m. June 8.

500-2300 block of Foothill Boulevard--Round Table Pizza, EIJI Flowers, The Burger House, Lazare-Johnson & Associates, Hastings/La Canada Hardware, Lee Hansen Travel Service, Citizens Bank and Leslie Pool Supply reported damage on June 14 totaling $3,405.

La Crescenta

Foothill Boulevard, 3000 block--Two windows of a gas station booth were broken and about 50 packs of cigarettes valued at $125 were stolen at 11:50 p.m. June 14.

Ramsdell Avenue, 4400 block--About $7,000 in damage was caused by paint thrown on buildings at La Crescenta High School on June 7 or 8.

2500-3000 block of Foothill Boulevard--Hilltop Screen, Fireplace & Patio, Domino’s Pizza and Postalia reported $785 damage on June 14.

Echo Park

Vista Gordo Drive, 2300 block--A thief entered a home through a bathroom while the victim slept and stole a wallet with $1,200 cash between midnight and 2:30 a.m. June 9.

Westerly Terrace, 1600 block--Firearms and a stereo valued at $1,273 were stolen from a home between 8:30 a.m. and 8 p.m. June 9.

White Knoll Drive and Alpine Street--Two men armed with a handgun forced a man walking on the street to throw down his wallet, which contained $64, at 9:45 p.m. June 9.

Scott and Elysian Park avenues--A person selling Dodger tickets was robbed at gunpoint of tickets valued at $66 by three men at 9:45 p.m. June 9.

Echo Park Avenue, 1600 block--Industrial equipment valued at $8,900 was stolen from a garment factory on June 10 or 11 by thieves who cut through security bars to enter.

Scott Avenue and Logan Street--Two people walking on the street at 6:30 p.m. June 12 were robbed of a camera valued at $300 by five men.

Atwater

Glenhurst Avenue, 3400 block--Jewelry valued at $1,490 was stolen from a home between 10 a.m. and noon June 11.

Cypress Park

West Avenue 28, 600 block--A burglar entered an apartment through an unlocked window and stole jewelry valued at $3,000 between 4:30 and 7 p.m. June 13.

Eagle Rock

Lincoln Avenue, 4800 block--Burglars entered an apartment, possibly with the use of keys, and stole money and video equipment valued at $1,380 on June 7 or 8.

Ellenwood Drive, 4400 block--A woman reported that a man offered to walk her to a friend’s house at 1:40 p.m. June 14, but instead raped her.

Elysian Valley

Golden State Freeway and Stadium Way--A man in a car forced a vehicle to the curb, assaulted the driver and stole jewelry valued at $250 at 11:45 p.m. June 14.

Golden State Freeway and Stadium Way--A man driving on the freeway reported that another motorist made an obscene gesture and then collided with the victim’s vehicle. The assailant pulled the victim from his car and stabbed him in the ear with a metal pipe at midnight June 14.

Glassell Park

Drew Street, 3400 block--A woman reported that her brother-in-law had assaulted and attempted to rape her at 2 a.m. June 9.

West Avenue 32, 3200 block--A woman reported that her cousin sodomized her in an apartment at 4:30 p.m. June 8.

San Fernando Road, 3000 block--A man armed with a handgun approached a person in a market and demanded money at 9:10 p.m. June 10. He fled with $300 cash.

San Fernando Road, 3100 block--Two men jumped into a vehicle, displayed a knife, made the victim drive several miles, then beat the victim and fled with the vehicle at 3 a.m. June 11.

San Fernando Road, 3200 block--Thieves cut the locks on a garment factory and stole industrial equipment valued at $25,300 on June 10 or 11.

Holyoke Drive, 3500 block--Electronic equipment valued at $10,710 was stolen from a home between 9:30 a.m. and 2:20 p.m. June 12. The victim reported that the door may have been open.

Highland Park

Fayette Street, 5600 block--A Cadillac was taken at gunpoint by two men at 4:45 p.m. June 8.

North Avenue 57, 300 block--A woman reported that she was raped at 12:30 p.m. June 8.

Bridewell Street, 100 block--A woman reported seeing a man peeping through her apartment window and masturbating on June 7 and 9.

York Boulevard and Figueroa Street--A man asked a woman at a bus stop for a match and then snatched her purse, which contained money and jewelry valued at $72, at 10:30 p.m. June 9.

East Avenue 39, 200 block--A man walking on a sidewalk at 11:30 a.m. June 11 was robbed at gunpoint of his wallet, which contained $45, by two men.

York Boulevard and Avenue 56--A man on a street was robbed at gunpoint by two men of money and luggage valued at $110 at 12:55 a.m. June 12.

York Boulevard, 5700 block--A woman walking on a sidewalk reported that her purse, which contained $30, was snatched from her at 10:15 a.m. June 14.

Los Feliz

Rowena Avenue, 2700 block--Two men in a car drove up next to a person on the street, pointed a gun and demanded money at 6:10 p.m. June 9. The thieves fled with $80 cash.

North Vermont Avenue, 1600 block--Eight men robbed a person in a garage of a wallet and radio valued together at $1,400 at 4:25 p.m. June 9.

Los Feliz Boulevard--A TV and video equipment valued at $7,300 were stolen from an apartment between 1:15 and 10:50 p.m. June 11.

Hillhurst Avenue, 2000 block--Thieves broke into a business by prying the front door open and gained access to two adjoining businesses by cutting a hole through the wall on June 11 or 12. An unknown amount of property and money were stolen.

Mt. Washington

Figueroa Street, 4500 block--A woman in a garage reported that she held onto her purse when three men tried to snatch it from her but let go when they threatened to hurt her children at 4:45 p.m. June 14. The men fled with the purse and contents, valued at $256.

Silver Lake

West Sunset Boulevard, 4000 block--Three men forced two people into the basement of a business and put boxes over the victims’ heads, then fled with $1,875 cash at 5:05 a.m. June 8.

Lake View Avenue, 2600 block--A burglar climbed onto a garage door and entered a home through an unlocked window between 7 and 10 p.m. June 9. The bedrooms were ransacked, and jewelry and video equipment valued together at $1,000 were stolen.

Ewing Street, 2200 block--Jewelry valued at $10,000 was stolen from a home between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. June 10.
