VENTURA : 750 Households Lose Power for 1 1/2 Hours
About 750 Ventura households were without electricity for about 1 1/2 hours Tuesday afternoon when an underground power unit failed, a Southern California Edison manager said.
The power interruption began about 12:28 p.m. in an area between the Ventura Freeway and Ortega Street, area manager Mike Montoya said.
Crews were dispatched to the scene of the equipment failure, Montoya said, and power was restored to all but about 50 customers by 2 p.m.
Power was restored completely by 5 p.m., Montoya said.
The cause of the equipment failure is under investigation, he said.
