SUMMER READING: Cynthia Coffman’s jury deliberates her fate today for the murder of a Huntington Beach woman. Meanwhile, Coffman, already under a death sentence for helping an ex-boyfriend kill a Redlands woman, has been reading in her cell. She asked author Don Lasseter if she could see a chapter from his upcoming book on that case--which profiled the Redlands victim. . . . In a thank-you note, Coffman said reading it was “a very painful reminder of some very painful events, but it’s something I need to do.”
