Conducting Date: Tenor Placido Domingo, artistic consultant at Los Angeles Music Center Opera, will conduct the company in the first three of six scheduled performances of Verdi’s “Rigoletto,” Feb. 27, March 2 and March 6, in the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion. Domingo previously conducted company performances of Verdi’s “Macbeth” and Puccini’s “Tosca.” In the 1991-92 season, he also appeared locally as guest conductor of the Los Angeles Chamber Orchestra.
