Mazda Executive Promoted: Yutaka Hirose has been appointed president of Mazda Research and Development of North America Inc. in Irvine. He succeeds Hiroshi Ozeki, who will return to Hiroshima, Japan, where he has been appointed general manager of Mazda Motor Corp.’s information systems division. Hirose was previously with Mazda’s product planning and development division, where he was a program manager. He joined Mazda, then called Toyo Kogyo, in 1963.
