EXTRA DUTY: Darell Aronson, 23, firefighter for the Air Force Reserve Center in Los Alamitos, says he entered the World Firefighters Games because he was new and wanted to make an impression. But once he started training, he begin to think about winning--and he did. The taped competition, which includes a race up 28 flights of stairs, airs on cable TV’s Prime Ticket tonight at 9:30. He is now the “Toughest Firefighter Alive.” . . . Says Aronson: “I’m thrilled; I hope it at least leads to a girlfriend.”
