From Times Staff and Wire Reports

In a major truce violation, Khmer Rouge guerrillas seized two villages in northern Cambodia, according to U.N. peacekeepers. U.N. spokesman Eric Falt said one civilian was killed and another wounded. He had no information on military casualties or other details. The Khmer Rouge has been fighting small-scale clashes with government forces and has refused to join the other Cambodian factions in sending all troops to U.N.-supervised camps to be disarmed.
