Pollution Research & Control Corp. said its second-quarter profit fell 26% from a year earlier despite a 23% increase in revenue.

The Glendale-based maker of pollution-monitoring equipment said net income in the quarter ended June 30 fell to $114,000 from $154,000 a year earlier, while its revenue climbed to $1.58 million from $1.28 million.

Certain one-time costs, such as legal expenses related to a securities registration statement, led to the lower earnings, the company said.
