Alliance Imaging Inc.: The Orange provider of magnetic resonance imaging services to hospitals and other health-care concerns reported second-quarter profit of $775,000, or 11 cents a share, up 50% from the $516,000, or 13 cents a share, for the same period a year earlier. Earnings per share reflected the increase in average shares outstanding to 7.1 million from 3.8 million. Revenue rose 27%, to $16.7 million from $13.2 million. For the first six months of the year, profit totaled $1.3 million, or 20 cents a share, compared to $576,000, or 15 cents a share, a year earlier. Revenue was $30.5 million, up from $25.4 million.
