Korea Society Essay-Contest Winner
Kisu Sung of Flintridge Preparatory School in La Canada Flintridge is among winners in the Korea Society’s essay contest, “My Images of Korea and Koreans.”
Sung, who placed third and won $500, wrote that Korea “is the country where I was born, the country that gave me my name, and the country that granted me my identity. It is home.”
The Korea Society, based in Los Angeles, works in international relations, trade, culture and public education on U.S.-Korea relations and in the Korean-American community in the United States.
