Junior High Students in Math Program

Several junior high students from northeast Los Angeles schools are participating in the Occidental Partnership to Increase Mathematics Opportunity program at the college. The monthlong summer program allows students to work with mathematics and learn about careers in mathematics, science and engineering. The students are Carol Chacon, Marianne Shehata and Sonya Wong from Washington Irving Middle School; Gordon Lee and Trinh Quach from Thomas Starr King Junior High School; Annie Lee, Pau Li and Han Ly from Nightingale Junior High School; Aniko Lengyel and Lallana Mekmanee from Eagle Rock High School; Ryan Nuqui from Franklin High School, and Laura Sanchez from Luther Burbank Junior High School.
