Ioan Grigoras was pumped. It was time for the Romanian wrestler’s big match with Alexandre Kareline of the Commonwealth of Independent States.

Ioan stretched. He flexed.

Ioan wrestled. He lost.

Ioan lasted 14 seconds.

“Kareline, he is very strong,” Grigoras said. “Besides, I have a bruised leg.

“I hope to win the bronze medal.”

He did.
