Mazda Raises Prices 2.9%: Mazda Motor of America said it will raise prices for its 1993 cars and trucks an average 2.9%, or $422. Mazda’s price increase comes after Chrysler raised 1993 prices on its cars an average 2.6% and Ford boosted 1993 car prices an average 2.9% for cars and 3% for trucks. Mazda said the price increases will take effect today for its MX-6, 626 and RX-7 models, already on sale as 1993 models. The remaining increases will take effect at the beginning of the 1993 model year.
