In reference to the opening ceremony, Michael Jordan said that experiencing it once is enough. This point of view should have been utilized in the selection process of the U.S. men’s basketball team. Those who have already won a gold medal (Jordan, Ewing, Mullin) should have been allowed to enjoy the summer relaxing on a golf course, thus giving others (Hardaway, Daugherty, Kevin Johnson) a chance to experience that same glory.
