Who Are the Good, Bad and the Ugly Americans of the Olympics So Far?

How do you catch the Olympic spirit? As a foreign viewer, I am unable to get it by following NBC’s coverage of the Games.

I am used to enjoying televised sports competition as a documentary. But NBC is making the Olympics into a massive, slow-pace and boring “show” with little or no excitement.

I don’t think it’s necessary to create heroes in advance and concentrate solely on them during the program. Why don’t you let the events unfold on their own and see who the eventual heroes will be? Most of the phony show is just a waste of time while a lion’s share of the real competition is omitted.
