I do believe in UFOs, I do believe in UFOs!

And, according to recent polls, so do most Americans. But they may not know about Satellite No. 3, which was made on Mars and is orbiting Earth at the behest of the Saturn-based Interplanetary Parliament. Its mission is to radiate spiritual energy to those earthlings lucky enough to know how, when and where to receive it.

At least, that is one of the many tenets of the Aetherius Society.

The group didn’t just fall off the turnip saucer. Sir George King, president of the Aethereans, founded the society in England in 1955. Since then, metaphysical membership has multiplied into the thousands, with temples in Nigeria, Ghana, England, New Zealand, and the largest right here in Hollywood.

The term “Aetherius,” from the Greek word aether , means “one who travels through space.” “We believe in life on Mars,” says Richard Lawrence, international director of the London-based group, “but obviously we don’t believe that life as we know it on Earth can exist on Mars.” Life there could be silicon-based, he says, and may not be visible to humans.

The group, which meets weekly for prayer and healing services, believes Earth has a spiritual energy crisis, and the solution is to cooperate with people from other worlds, who visit us on a regular basis. How has the society managed to survive 37 years supporting such spectacular scripture? By remaining steadfast and lying low.

“We don’t try to recruit people. We are not a cult,” Lawrence says. “We are all part of a cosmic family.”
