For the ‘Animals’: Audrey Hepburn, Charlton Heston, James Earl Jones, Lily Tomlin and Walter Matthau are among the celebrities lending their voices to a new Dove Audio recording of Camille Saint-Saens’ “Carnival of the Animals,” conducted by Lalo Schifrin and featuring the Hollywood Chamber Ensemble and duo-pianist sisters Mona and Renee Golabek. Proceeds will be shared by animal-focused charities chosen by the celebrities. An audiocassette version will be in major bookstores this month; the CD will be released on the Warner label in the fall.
