U.S. boxer Eric Griffin, knocked out of the Olympics by a controversial 6-5 loss to Spain’s Rafael Lozano on Saturday, has found an unexpected source of sympathy in Barcelona--the Barcelonians.
At a disco the other night, Griffin was greeted by one well-wisher after another. One Spaniard approached Griffin and, shaking his head, said, “Lo siento (I am very sorry for you”).
