A Long Search Ends: The Children’s Museum, which has been without an executive director since James G. (Gill) Leaf left nearly a year ago, will get a new chief on Aug. 17. Vincent Beggs, executive director and chief operating officer of the Palos Verdes Art Center, has been named to the post. Beggs previously was director of education for Barnsdall Art Park’s Junior Art Center. He also has been chief of operations for New York’s American Craft Museum and a principal for Exhibition Associates, a New York-based consulting firm.
