Attorney Extradited to Face U.S. Drug Charges

MIAMI —
A powerful attorney from the Bahamas who avoided facing U.S. cocaine smuggling charges for seven years has been extradited and is awaiting a first hearing in federal court.
Frederick Nigel Bowe, 53, was being held Tuesday at the Metropolitan Correctional Center south of Miami.
