Olympic gold medalist Mark Lenzi defended his U.S. three-meter springboard title in the National Diving Championships at The Woodlands, Tex., and three-time Argentine Olympian Veronica Ribot-Canales narrowly won the women’s crown.
Ribot-Canales, 30, who holds dual American and Argentine citizenship, won her first U.S. women’s three-meter title, finishing 2.19 points ahead of three-time U.S. springboard champion Krista Klein.
Lenzi took the lead on his sixth of 11 dives and cruised to a 25-point victory.
