Blue Cross Launches Spanish Information Line: Blue Cross of California announced that it is launching the state’s first all-Spanish-speaking service to provide health insurance information free of charge. Leonard Schaeffer, chairman of the nonprofit insurer, noted that Latinos are more likely to be uninsured than any ethnic group in the state. The service will provide information on all types of health insurance, including government programs. The number is 800-777-2287.
