OUT FOR NOW: Dr. Thomas A. Gionis, sentenced last month to 5 years in prison for masterminding the 1988 attack on ex-wife Aissa Wayne, John Wayne’s daughter, was released Monday on $2 million bail pending appeal. Gionis, 38, was freed just in time for the latest custody hearing today over their 5-year-old daughter. . . . Says a surprised Wayne: “It’s a huge amount of money for somebody who hasn’t paid child support in two years.”
