SPECIMEN, SPECIWOMEN

Share

In the biography of Darwin, reviewer Daniel Harris refers to an “unholy” alliance between science and Christianity. . . .

Basically, science began with Christians studying the book of Genesis and emulating the model contained in its description of creation: point of view, initial conditions, sequence of events and conclusion.

Harris may also want to compare Darwin’s conclusions with Gregor Mendel’s. Darwin had one of the books on Mendel’s discovery that a species could possess a recessive characteristic, which appeared later in the species or even became dominant when selected, without changing the species. The pages were uncut.
