U.S., Vietnam Join in 19th Hunt for MIAs

BANGKOK, Thailand —
The United States and Vietnam on Friday began their 19th joint search for American servicemen missing from the Vietnam War, the U.S. Defense Department announced.
A 51-member Pentagon team and officials from the Vietnamese Office for Seeking Missing Persons are trying to determine the fates of 1,658 Americans still unaccounted for from America’s military involvement in Vietnam, which ended in 1975.
