POST-TENURE HEILBRUN

Why should I have to wait until I’m older to be liberated? Why should I have to spend any part of my life satisfying someone else’s (especially a man’s) image of who I should be? I agree with Heilbrun that being free from such false demands creates the opportunity for “the best part of a female life.” I see no reason to put off having that best part.
