Advanced Photonix Inc. Suffers Loss of $798,000

Advanced Photonix Inc. in Camarillo reported a fiscal first-quarter loss of $798,000, compared with a year-earlier loss of $627,000.

The fledgling maker of photodetector devices that convert light into electric signals said the latest loss in the quarter ended June 30 came on revenue of $1.72 million.
