‘Cycle’ Recycled: Playwright Robert Schenkkan’s “The Kentucky Cycle” will return to Los Angeles Oct. 17-25 for six two-part performances at UCLA’s 580-seat Freud Playhouse, under the auspices of the Mark Taper Forum. The new staging of the Pulitzer Prize-winning epic, which played at the Taper’s thrust stage earlier this year, will mark the first time the play has been seen on a proscenium stage and will serve as a warm-up for appearances at three other proscenium stages--the Eisenhower Theatre at Washington’s Kennedy Center in November, Boston’s Huntington Theatre in January, and a possible New York staging next spring.
