PLATFORM : Parents, Be Aware

If any parent has a problem with this, then you’d better pull your head out of the sand and get in tune with the real world.

My husband and I have always tried to instill proper moral behavior in our children. We have told them the consequences of these actions and they understand. I only hope that they postpone sex until they are older and out of school. But I’m not going to pretend that kids don’t engage in sex. And if they are going to have sex, then I would hope that it is safer sex, and that means condoms.

These days, it’s important for every parent to be aware of all the issues that face our children. Unfortunately, AIDS and teen-age pregnancy are problems all our children face. I, as a parent, must support my children. I must do whatever I need to do to educate them and hopefully help them make the proper decision. But in the end, the decision is theirs.
