No Trespassing

Thank heavens for the wisdom of our founding fathers whose insight into man’s inherent rapacious nature gave us the protection of a free press! Without this, I and countless others would of necessity be silent on many issues.

In particular, I refer to Linda Moulton-Patterson’s article (“Unlocking Gates,” Aug. 20). It is pure unbridled socialism.

I am a resident of a small, guarded-gate community. We own our own property and pay our own bills. We ask no help from others, such as road maintenance, beach guards and maintenance. We do expect to enjoy a constitutionally guaranteed right of private property. Would the writer of the article mentioned want otherwise for herself or others?
