World IN BRIEF : AFGHANISTAN : Dissidents Agree to Another Cease-Fire

The beleaguered Islamic government announced another cease-fire with hard-line fundamentalists, who have rained destruction on the capital, Kabul, for nearly a month. However, Gulbuddin Hekmatyar, chief of the dissident Hezb-i-Islami party, threatened to renew his bombardment unless the government accedes to his demand for the withdrawal of a formerly Communist militia from the capital within a week.
