A judge released Arizona State basketball player Jamal Faulkner from jail, allowing him to return to school. Faulkner was sentenced to 30 days in jail on Aug. 27 when the 6-foot-7 forward violated his probation after ignoring written instructions and missed several meetings.

He was sentenced to two years’ probation in April after pleading guilty along with three other players to a felony charge stemming from a scam involving $13,474 worth of long-distance calls.
