Carter Hawley to Sell 2 Utah Stores to Mervyn’s: Carter Hawley Hale Stores Inc., which is the West’s biggest retailer, announced in Los Angeles that it will sell two of its three Weinstocks stores in Utah to Mervyn’s and close a third store in Ogden early next year. The two stores Mervyn’s will purchase are located in Salt Lake City and in Murray. Terms of the sale were not disclosed.
